I recently had an amazing trekking experience at **Rockwood–Kariyasholai Peak, also known as Needle Rock**. The trek is around 3 km and starts through a beautiful estate area before taking you into the scenic mountain trail. The trail was a wonderful mix of greenery, natural beauty, peaceful surroundings, and adventure. One of the most memorable parts of the trek was the wildlife encounter. We were lucky enough to spot **five elephants** during the trek — three of them were relatively close to us on the other side of the landscape, while we spotted another two elephants from the peak, much farther away down the hillside. Seeing them in their natural surroundings was an unforgettable experience and added a whole new level of excitement to the trek. A special mention to our guide, **Manikandan**, who accompanied us throughout the trek. He was friendly, supportive, and made sure we were safe and comfortable throughout the journey. He guided us carefully to the peak and safely accompanied us back down as well. His guidance and support made the entire experience much more enjoyable and reassuring. Reaching the peak was absolutely worth the effort, with breathtaking views, fresh mountain air, and a peaceful atmosphere all around. The combination of the scenic trail, mountain views, and unexpected wildlife sightings made this trek truly special. Overall, **Rockwood–Kariyasholai Peak / Needle Rock** is a short but rewarding trek and a great choice for anyone who loves nature, trekking, and wildlife. Definitely an experience worth having! 🌿⛰️🐘🥾✨
