Fantastic experience trekking Longwood Shola
Fantastic experience trekking Longwood Shola with my school-going daughters! The guide and forest officers were exceptionally friendly, professional, and knowledgeable about the local birds and mammals. When we encountered an Indian Gaur (Bison), our guide handled it calmly and safely so both we and the animal could move on peacefully. It’s a rich ecosystem and a wonderful way to educate kids about nature. Suggestion: Please add clear signboards at the entrance indicating that prior booking via Trek Tamil Nadu is required. We saw several newcomers get turned away because they didn't know the protocol.
Nature, Adventure, and Lasting Memories @Longwood shola
I had a wonderful trekking experience with Trek Tamil Nadu. The entire trek was well-organized, offering the perfect balance of safety and adventure. A special thanks to our trek guide, Mr. Maniratnam, whose knowledge and passion for wildlife made the journey even more memorable. He shared many fascinating facts about the Birds & Forest, its flora, and its wildlife throughout the trek. One of the most thrilling moments was spotting an Indian gaur along our trekking route and being surrounded by the beautiful sounds of birds echoing through the forest. Walking through the deep forest with its cool, fresh air was truly refreshing and unforgettable. It was an amazing experience, and I highly recommend this place Longwood shola to anyone who loves nature, wildlife, and adventure.
Hidden Trekking area.
When you see from outside travelling to Kodanad view point, you cannot see this hidden place. Quiet Calm for Nature lovers and birders. Endemic birds can be easily identified here. Clearly a good place to trek for all age categories.
Awesome trek
It was an amazing experience . Short , beautiful kids friendly trek..Dense forest. and it was fully covered with fog.. Beautiful.. we saw the fresh tiger and leopard paw prints and variety of tree.. The trek guide Mr.Tamilan was very friendly and informative..
Longwood Shola. A trek for everyone.
Wonderful initiative. This easy trek was doable for families with children. The guides were knowledgeable and the route is really beautiful, going through an old well preserved forest.
