I enjoyed this river bank trek along the river. The highlight of this trek is the river itself and the numerous trees which line up the river like the mathee and jamun trees. There is also good bird sightings. The trek is almost on flat surface and it takes around 5-6 hrs to complete the trek. This area is quite dry and gets pretty hot during the return trek. If the trek starts at 7 instead of 8 or later it's slightly better for animal sightings. This is a great initiative by the TN forest department which offers a view into this pristine area for trekkers. And as a small suggestion, it's better if the guides are better trained to identify the trees in the region which helps visitors to understand the flora of the region better.
Good guide, Simple walk in the mini jungle.
Thanks to Balu Sir from Forest department and Ravi (guide). Loved the friendliness and service. Amazing experience.
